Bless Our Fallen Heroes!

A beautiful morning for the Ferndale Memorial Day parade. Arrived early on a side street where the high school band, Golden Eagle majorettes and others were marshaling. Then dashed ahead to the Woodward Ave. median to watch the procession.
The local politicians were out to see and be seen. As the participants marched past, I noticed a large number of placards bringing up the rear of the parade.
The placard carriers came into view as pipes and drum escorted the Michigan Fallen "foot float."
Each placard identifies a member of our military fallen in active service this century.
Only later did I see a poster from the Michigan Fallen organization asking for volunteers to march in the parade. Wish I'd seen it earlier.
