Creative Portraits

Corozal - Belize Alex Falco, a graphic artist visiting from Cuba, gave a seminar on "creative portraits" through the Cultural Center.

He showed us some examples he'd created. Debbie, Cultural Center director, had told me Mr. Falco was "very political," and the illustration below would seem to bear that out.

Later, we did our own collage creative portraits. While working, I noticed a man up in a cherry picker. Another machine rose and drilled into the utility pole. I've never seen anything like that before.

Debbie said Mr. Falco was hoping to return to Belize. I'd imagine the Cuban revolution is best appreciated from a distance. Really enjoyed the seminar.
